I started adding their designs and symbols first to my weaving, then, by painting those designs on paper or canvas. From there it was a natural progression to include the images of those ancient people and their modern descendents in my paintings. Currently, my interests include portraits, figurative art and murals. For me, this has combined and expanded all my previous interests and as an artist, I am pleased with the result of the blending.
