Life Drawing - Figure and Face Charcoal/Pastels 
In the setting of beautiful historic Galena Illinois with all its Victorian charm, you will have the opportunity to improve your drawing skills. With both short and long poses, students will be challenged to draw a costumed model. Emphasis will be on proportions, lines and shading giving attention to the details of the elaborate clothing. Individual attention to each student makes this class suitable for beginners as well as advanced students.Color and Creativity A variety of materials are used. A Study of color and how to use it creatively not only in art but as a part of your everyday life. Decorative Painting Acrylics Trompe l'oeil (fool the eye) and faux painting are creative ways to give your home a very personal look. For the novice, the technique of simple sponge painting will be taught and you will experiment with different ways to use it to create Trompe L'Oeil.
